Police searching for a missing pensioner in the Kyle area of Wester Ross are keen to trace a man in his 70s or 80s seen walking on the A87 Invergarry to Kyle road on Sunday evening.
Roger Fletcher, 77, was last seen at around 8.30am on Sunday when he set off from a holiday home in Bundalloch, near Dornie, for a walk.
Police have issued appeals for anyone who has seen him to get in touch with them.
And they have received a report of a man matching his description walking along the A87 approximately four miles west of Cluanie, in the Glenshiel area, at around 7pm on Sunday.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police and partners are conducting searches of the area and are keen to make contact with the man and anyone who was walking or driving in the area to establish if they can assist inquiries.”
Mr Fletcher is described as having white hair and wearing glasses.
It is understood he may be carrying a small khaki-coloured rucksack.
Anyone with any information that may help police trace Mr Fletcher is asked to call 101.
