More big names from the world of music have been added to the line-up for this year’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
Psychedelic rock band Super Furry Animals will be penultimate act on the main stage on the Friday.
The pioneering group, once dubbed “the most important band of the past 15 years”, have had nine albums in the UK Top 25 since their formation in 1993.
It has also emerged that there will be a very limited ticket resale of around 100 returned tickets happening tomorrow at 10am via the festival’s website. Organisers have advised that these are expected to sell quickly so any prospective revellers need to be quick off the mark.
The festival takes place on August 4-6 on the Belladrum Estate, near Beauly, and will have a theme of “superstition”.
Headline acts already announced for the festival include legendary 1980s ska band Madness, who will play on the Saturday night, with cult glam rockers The Darkness performing on the Thursday.
Other acts recently just confirmed to be joining the line-up include contemporary favourites Public Service Broadcasting, as well as and Tanzanian born/London raised Tiggs Da Author, whose musical influence spans Motown to Grime.
Singer-songwriter Gavin James has also been added to bill alongside one of Scotland’s favourite traditional acts Skippinish, who replace the Vatersay Boys.
And making a very welcome return to Belladrum is Lucy Spraggan, who rose to fame off the back of the X Factor show, as well as Buzz Scots band White.
Bwani Junction with Donald Shaw and Diane Garisto will also bring their highly acclaimed Celtic Connections 2016 performance of Paul Simon’s Graceland to the main stage.
Belladrum has sold out for the eighth year in a row.
