Kitchen fire extinguished in Lochaber

Firefighters have tackled a kitchen fire at a commercial premises in Lochaber.

Crews were called to the incident in Salen on the Ardnamurchan peninsula at about 5.20pm.

The fire was extinguished within 30 minutes but a spokesman for the fire service said the kitchen was affected by smoke.

Fire crews from Strontian and Acharacle attended and used a hose-reel jet and breathing equipment at the scene.
