Stornoway Coastguard called to assist kayakers

Stornoway Coastguard was called to assist three kayakers who capsized earlier today.

The call was made at 12.40pm after the kayakers got into difficulty near Harlosh.

The Mallaig lifeboat was sent to the scene and transported them to safety.

A coastguard spokesman said: “Two women and one men got into difficulty at 12.42pm.

“The coastguard took them to safety and there were no injuries as a result.”
