A court has heard that a north man was left “shocked and embarrassed” after a girlfriend arrived at his home wearing “sexy lingerie” while family members were visiting.
John Lamont, 50, said Vera Graham, 49, entered his house in Rose Street, Thurso, and opened her trench coat to reveal her underwear.
His sister and her boyfriend were present at the time and promptly left, Wick Sheriff Court heard.
Ms Graham had previously claimed that Lamont became aggressive and assaulted her.
She said that he seized hold of her, repeatedly punched her and pushed her, causing her to fall down the steps outside his front door.
Lamont rejected the scenario but said he told Ms Graham to leave and when she tried to get back into his house, he pushed her.
Lamont denies assaulting Ms Graham and another of his girlfriends, Wendy Macleod.
Ms Graham told the jury she had gone to Lamont’s home to “lighten his mood” after he alleged she owed him money for a holiday in Greece.
Giving evidence yesterday, Lamont said that she had arrived at his home on August 2 or 3, 2011.
He told Wick Sheriff Court: “The door was open and Vera just walked in.
“She was wearing high heels and not much else and opened her trench coat to show sexy lingerie.
“My sister and her boyfriend left more or less after that.”
He claimed he had only pushed her after she tried to get back into the house and thought she had tripped because of her high heels.
Lamont also denies assaulting Ms Graham at his home sometime between April 1-2 and June 30, 2011.
Lamont also denies assaulting another girlfriend, Ms Macleod, on four occasions at his then-home at Leitch Court, Thurso, and at his Rose Street address.
The trial continues.
