Paramedics have treated an 18-year-old man for minor injuries after the car he was driving crashed on the A9 road in Caithness this morning.
The accident, which involved only one vehicle, happened just south of the junction with the A882 road, eight miles south of Thurso, at about 9.20am.
An ambulance spokesman said: “A local ambulance crew attended and treated an 18-year-old on scene and he did not require hospital treatment”.
A police spokeswoman said that the Vauxhall Corsa he was driving had left the road and confirmed that traffic was able to move freely in both directions.
