A dog has been rescued by emergency services after a fire broke out in a Highland home.
Police officers saved the dog at the home in the Lily Loch area of Muir of Ord.
They attended the scene along with fire crews from Beauly, Dingwall and Inverness after receiving reports of a pan fire in the kitchen at about 1.45pm today.
A fire service spokeswoman said: “There was a small fire in a house in Lily Loch in Muir of Ord.
“The damage was just confined to the pan and kitchen. Our crews used two breathing apparatus and one extinguisher.
“There was also a dog released by the police just prior to our arrival.”
