An island community has raised thousands of pounds to provide its children with a new play park.
The £50,000 park in Tobermory on Mull is due for completion in October after locals started fundraising in 2014.
The existing play park was more than 20 years old and the Tobermory Playpark Appeal Committee got to work.
Local fish farm company Scottish Sea Farms initially donated almost £10,000 to enable the group to purchase a specific piece of equipment – the Wide Embankment Wavy Slide.
It also provided another grant of £9,300, and the park is set to officially open in October.
Morven Russell, committee member, Tobermory Playpark Appeal, said: “We are delighted to receive this funding as it allows us to complete this fantastic project for the community of Tobermory. We set ourselves an ambitious target a few years ago but with a dedicated and talented committee working hard behind the scenes, and generous donations and grants being received, we have managed to make our dream of a first class, accessible play park a reality.”
