Wick High School pupils were celebrating with one gaining six Highers at grade A and three pupils getting five As.
Shona Tait of Harland Farm in Reiss achieved top results in English, Maths, French, Physics, Music and Graphic Communication.
Caitlyn Taylor of Dunbeath gained five As at Higher level in English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
The 16-year-old now goes into sixth year where she will do Advanced Highers in Maths, Biology and Chemistry and a Higher in Physics.
She said: “I am just delighted. I have been looking at going into medicine or engineering. It gives me options. Now I have met the requirements for both I can go into whichever one I choose. It is a big relief.”
Bethan Higham of Thrumster got As in English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics while Leanne Rosie of Wick got As in English, Maths, Biology, History and Geography.
