A man has been rescued on the Isle of Lewis after becoming disoriented about his location.
The man, who had been out fishing on an inland loch, required the assistance of the Stornoway coastguard after losing his bearings off Pentland Road.
A Stornoway coastguard spokesman said: “Teams went to find a man just off Pentland Road in the Isle of Lewis after he became disorientated as to where he was.
“The man called his wife, after he had been fishing on an inland loch, saying he wasn’t sure where he was.
“He’d gone finishing and then walked from the road inland onto the moor.
“The coastguard was called at 7.02pm and the coastguard vehicle quickly located him about half a mile from the road and he is now back at his vehicle.”
