The funeral of a young Black Isle fisherman who fell overboard will be held later this month.
Craig Reid was lost off the Apollo in April this year in stormy conditions off the Orkney coast.
His body was recovered earlier this month by another fishing vessel around 25 miles north-west of Orkney.
His family has now confirmed that a funeral service will be held for the 25-year-old on Friday, August 19.
Mr Reid was originally from the Black Isle but was most recently staying in Culloden.
His funeral will begin at 11.45am at Avoch Congregational Church before he is laid to rest at the village’s New Cemetery.
The family has asked for any donations to be made to the Highland Hospice, Avoch Congregational Church and the Fortrose Free Church new build appeal.
Immediately after Mr Reid was lost off the Apollo, a major search was launched in the waters around Orkney, involving two coastguard helicopters and international military jets diverted from the Joint Warrior war games exercise.
