A multi-car crash caused the closure of the main road southbound near Drumossie Brae, a mile south of Inverness. The A9 was also closed in both directions near Carrbridge after a two car crash. The accidents coincided with heavy fog shrouding the A9 this morning, with the area around Inverness worst affected.
