Both rescues involved foreign nationals lost in the mist.
Skye Mountain Rescue Team volunteers were called to two consecutive call-outs on the Trotternish Ridge today.
The first was at Storr, where two foreign nationals were lost in the mist.
The second was further north, near Bealach Chaiplin, where another two foreign nationals required assistance after losing their bearings.
On Twitter, the rescue team issued a special thanks to the Laird of Baile nan Cnoc, Seumas Campbell, for “expert local knowledge and assistance on the second rescue.”
Some more photos from the #MistyIsle rescues today. Conditions like this are why a map and compass are essential when venturing out for walks in Skye. Whistles are also of benefit if you get lost in mist as your position can be pinpointed by those looking for you. pic.twitter.com/pO7Dz3SVpB

Just three days ago, an American tourist was rescued on Storr after she broke her leg.
And last Monday, 13 members of the Skye Mountain Rescue Team were out searching for a European couple who were lost on the hillside.
Rescuers were called at 10.30am and the couple were finally led to safety at 4pm.
