Adam Reid from the Muir of Ord area died in the crash on Dochcarty Brae in Dingwall. The incident happened at 2.45pm on Friday. The 18-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved. The road was closed until around 7.50pm to allow for an investigation at the scene. Sergeant Ewan Calder said: “Our thoughts are with Adam’s family and friends at this time. “Our inquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone who has information which has not yet been passed to police to call 101.”
