Police are appealing for information after a 41-year-old man from the Highlands was reported missing.
Peter Munro from Shieldaig last seen in Dornie on Tuesday evening.
It is believed he may have planned to hitch hike back home. He is thought to be wearing a red jacket and carrying a blue rucksack.
Searches have taken place around the Dornie area tonight with Kyle lifeboat joined by a number of coastguard teams.
A spokesman said teams from as far afield as Applecross, Torridon and Gairloch had joined the search due to the vast area in which Mr Munro could be located.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
A statement said: “Officers in Kyle are searching for Peter Munro (41) from Shieldaig last seen in Dornie on the evening of Tuesday 3 March.
“Peter may have planned to hitch hike to Shieldaig, may have been wearing a red jacket & carrying a blue rucksack.”
