The Scottish National Sheepdog Trials will take place in the Highlands later this month.
The event will be held at Conon Brae Farm, Torgorm, by Conon Bridge from July 23-25.
A total of 150 dogs will compete over the three days but just 15 will be selected for places in the Scotland team along with a reserve and two entries from the brace event, where two dogs work in tandem.
The Scotland team will compete against the three other home nations in the International Sheepdog Trials in Lockerbie in September.
Marlene Munro, secretary for the Scottish National Sheepdog Trials committee, said:
“All spectators will be welcome and the event will be signposted and there will be catering in the field.
“There will be quite a high representation from the Highlands at the trials.”
Michael Shearer from Caithness won last year’s World Sheepdog Trials which were held at Fearn, Easter Ross, beating more than 240 other competitors from 24 different countries to claim victory.
