Police last night launched a search operation in a Highland village after a possible sighting of a missing man.
Six police cars were sent to Laggan after reports that the vehicle reportedly driven by David Mitchell, was seen in the area.
Mr Mitchell, 47, is believed to be driving a green Toyota Rav with an 03 registration plate.
He was last seen in Pitlochry on Sunday night at 7.30pm but the vehicle was also seen on the A9 at Kildary at 10pm on Monday night.
A police spokeswoman said officers patrolled the area but did not find the car and Mr Mitchell remains missing.
One police vehicle remains in the area this morning in case he returns to the area.
There is considerable concern for Mr Mitchell, who is described as being 5ft 11in tall, slim build with receding brown hair.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is or who has information that could assist Police Scotland in tracing him should call 101 or speak to any police officer.
