Police at the scene of an incident on Gordon Terrace in Invergordon
A man has died after becoming trapped under a car in the Highlands last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Gordon Terrace, Invergordon shortly after 8.30pm last night.
Fire crews worked to help free the casualty but the man later died.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We can confirm that emergency services attended an domestic address in Invergordon about 8.40 pm yesterday evening following a report of a 54 year old man trapped within a garage.
“Unfortunately the man died at the scene.
“There were no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
