Stolen puppy returned to owners

Two people have been charged in connection with the alleged theft of a pubbly from an Inverness garden.

Police have confirmed that the dog has been returned safe and well to its owner.

The nine-week-old Staffordshire bull terrier, called Roxi, disappeared from an address in the city’s St Francis Gardens earlier this week.

A police spokesman said a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested and have been reported to the procurator fiscal.

The pair are expected to appear in Inverness Sheriff court today.
