Police are investigating after a 50-year-old woman was assaulted in the Highland capital.
The incident took place within a vehicle in the Scourgie area of Inverness sometime between 2am and 3.30am yesterday.
A Police Scotland spokesman said it was a “minor assault” and the vehicle was believed to be a dark saloon.
He added: “The woman wasn’t injured. The male driver is described as being in his forties and of Eastern European appearance.
“It is believed the woman walked around the Scorguie Avenue and Scorguie Drive after the incident and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the vehicle or the woman in the area in the early hours of Wednesday morning to get in touch.
“Police are specifically seeking the assistance of a male taxi driver who assisted the woman around the streets mentioned, after the incident happened.
