A Skye man who shouted abuse at his wife as she walked past was fined £500 at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday.
Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood was told it was 45 year old Calum MacInnes’s third conviction of a domestic nature.
MacInnes of Old School Square, Broadford admitted behaving in a threatening manner towards his estranged wife Sandra on Kyle of Lochalsh’s Main Street on September 2 this year.
Defence solicitor Alison Foggo said: “He accepts his behaviour was unacceptable. The proper channels are now in place to end their marriage and he has no issue with a non harassment order (NHO).
“Misuse of alcohol is a feature throughout his offending.”
Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood imposed an NHO for a year.
