Bus passengers in the Highlands have been given the chance to view proposed timetable changes which will start early in the New Year.
Stagecoach has reviewed its network by studying the reliability and usage of the routes, particularly during busy morning and afternoon peak periods.
The company is now encouraging customers to look at the proposals and provide feedback. The changes would come into affect from January 9.
In Inverness, new proposals include hourly links from Old Hilton and New Hilton to the hospital and Inverness College UHI via Service 1.
Milton of Leys would be withdrawn from service 1 and covered by Service 4, which will operate through Drakies and Raigmore Hospital to the city centre. A Sunday service will operate between the city and Milton of Leys on an hourly frequency.
Service 4 will also provide Drakies with a more frequent service every 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday during the day, and will provide South Kessock with a 30 minute link to and from Raigmore Hospital.
The college campus will also benefit from a new service connecting the campus from Nairn – service 11U.
Service 8A/8C will be replaced with new service 2/3 maintaining a combined 10 minute frequency, and Caulfield Road will see the introduction of an evening and Sunday service.
Service 5 will provide an hourly link from Ardersier with Culloden Academy and other local amenities in Culloden and the city centre, replacing service 15 to Ardersier but not to Fort George.
Service 6 will offer Holm Park and Holm Dell Road with a 30 minute service in place of an infrequent current service.
Service 7 would operate between the city centre and Green Drive and then go direct to Culduthel Farm from Culduthel Hall, and the service will return to the city centre as service 1.
Service 112 between the city centre and Kilvean Cemetery would be scrapped.
Further north, service 25 will operate every 30 minutes between Inverness and Invergordon and through Evanton every hour. Service 25X is proposed to link Dingwall, Evanton, Alness and Invergordon every hour during the day.
All X99 journeys will now serve Castletown before continuing to Wick and Dunbeath, removing the need for connections at Dunbeath for Wick.
The 76 Wick town service will be withdrawn and replaced by service 77 which will be extended from Wick to Pultney Town and the retail park. This service will also replace the X97 service by extending to Gills Bay. Service 81 will be extended from Wick to Staxigoe.
Services 79A/79C Thurso town service will be withdrawn and replaced by service 78 which will in future serve Ormlie and Castlegreen and service 82 which will serve High Omlie.
Service 181 between Thurso and Wick via Bowemadden will be withdrawn without replacement.
