A 15-year-old boy from Nairn has been reported missing.
Police are carrying out inquiries to trace Duncan MacKenzie, who was last seen at about 2.30pm on Tuesday in the Nairn area.
He is described as 5ft 9ins in height, of slim build and has dark brown hair with a sweeping fringe.
When last seen he was believed to be wearing a red Superdry zipped hooded top, white shirt, Nairn school tie, black chinos and possibly blue Adidas Gazelle trainers. He was also carrying a black and white rucksack.
Duncan is believed to have contacts in the Cannich and Fort Augustus area and it is possible that he may have travelled to either of these areas.
