A businessman was placed on the sex offenders register and ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid community work for possessing child porn in the Highlands.
Inverness Sheriff Court was told that Joseph Richardson, 50, was staying at the An Sealgair Bed and Breakfast in Station Road, Carrbridge, in February last year.
When he booked out, memory sticks containing 140 images of children were found.
Richardson, of Elson, Ellsemere, Shropshire, admitted the charges.
Defence solicitor Alison Foggo said: “He is employed full-time in a family business and the background report paints a picture of a family man deeply committed to his faith. He wishes to limit the shame he has visited on his family – that’s his sole concern.”
Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood also placed Richardson on two years supervision and the sex offenders register for that period.
