Police are appealing for witnesses to the disturbance
A three-figure sum was taken from a taxi overnight in Inverness.
The car was parked in the city’s Harris Road and the theft was discovered at around 11pm last night.
Shortly afterwards, a vehicle on Aird Avenue in Hilton was also discovered with damage to the window and a three figure sum of money removed.
A police spokesman said: “As part of ongoing inquiries, we would appeal to anyone who heard or saw any suspicious behaviour in the Drakies/Hilton area last night or has any information on the thefts to make contact via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
“Owners and drivers are reminded to remove all valuables before leaving vehicles unattended.”
