A major upgrade of paths and bridges, and measures to combat riverbank erosion on the River Ness Islands in Inverness is a step closer.
A £225,000 contract funded by the city’s common good fund will be awarded to contractors in January.
Inverness Provost Helen Carmichael said: “I’m pleased that progress is being made on the allocation of contracts to improve the Ness Islands which are a well loved beauty spot.
“We look forward to seeing the full benefits to this civic riverside amenity area next year and a report on the works progress back to the City committee in February.”
