Firefighters tackle fire in home above coffee shop

Firefighters have tackled a fire in a flat above a coffee shop in Beauly.

Emergency services got the call to the property on the village’s High Street at 3.02pm.

Fire crews from Beauly and Dingwall attended at the scene and extinguished the blaze using a hosereel jet and breathing equipment.

A spokeswoman for the fire service said that the fire was within a dormer window in the roof of the property.

After the fire was extinguished crews remained at the scene for some time checking for fire spread and cutting back damaged material.
