Police have issued a second appeal for information after an attempted robbery at an Inverness coal yard.
A man went to Fergusson Coal at Needlefied Yard, Longman Road, at around 8am on Wednesday, January 11 and presented a weapon at staff, believed to be a knife.
He then left the scene on foot in an unknown direction. No items were taken and the member of staff wasn’t injured.
Detective Inspector Steven McCabe said: “Officers are appealing to anyone who saw a man of the following description in the Longman Road area between 7.30am and 8.30am this morning: 6ft in height, average build, wearing a black jacket and black beanie hat, with visible facial stubble.
“The Longman area would have been busy with people commuting to the city centre so we are asking people to think back and let us know if they remember seeing a man as described above or anything potentially suspicious.”
“Officers are continuing to review CCTV carry out door to door enquiries with neighbouring businesses. Anyone who saw the man or anyone behaving in a suspicious manner is urged to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111”
