Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was struck by a car in Inverness last night.
The 46-year-old pedestrian collided with a black Seat Altea on Kenneth Street, close to its junction with Tomnahurich Street about 6.15pm.
He was rushed to Raigmore Hospital with serious injuries. The road was closed for a period of time to allow for collision investigation work to be carried out.
Anyone who was travelling on the road at this time who may have witnessed the collision or has information that could assist officers are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
