Police have confirmed that a woman has died in hospital following a crash earlier this month on a busy road near the north end of Loch Ness.
Police have also identified the woman as 66-year-old Elizabeth MacInnes, who is from the local area.
She was a passenger in a blue Seat Ibiza car involved in the collision on the A82 Inverness-Fort William road near Dochgarroch, on April 11.
She was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness following the crash, which involved just the one car, but died there on Wednesday.
The male driver of the vehicle, a 61-year-old man, was also taken to Raigmore Hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a stable condition.
No one else was injured in the collision.
A police statement read: “Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, particularly the driver of a silver vehicle travelling south at the time who may have observed the collision, to contact police on 101.”
