A man has been reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly speeding at 114mph on the A96 between Inverness and Nairn.
The 25-year-old, who was driving a car, was stopped in the Morayhill area on Thursday at around 8:30pm.
Sergeant Donnie Mackinnon from the Road Policing Unit said: “Improving road safety is a key priority for us we will continue to target the minority of irresponsible motorists who choose to drive in a manner which presents a danger to themselves and others. Where necessary this will include enforcement activity.
“This will be carried out on an intelligence-led basis and we ask for the continued support of the public to assist us with keeping people safe on Scotland’s roads.”
