A four-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car oin Springfield Gardens at around 7.47pm on Tuesday. He was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment. His injuries are serious but are not thought to be life-threatening. The 33-year-old man has now been charged with road traffic offences and will appear at Inverness Sheriff Court in due course.
