A woman was arrested in the wake of a fire at an Inverness flat on Monday evening.
A block of flats was evacuated for more than an hour after the incident in the ground floor of the building in the city’s Chattan Avenue. There were no reports of any injuries.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “We were called to a dwelling at 8.10pm and sent two appliances from Inverness, two from Nairn and a height vehicle.
“The team used four sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to put the fire out.”
A spokesman for the police said: “We were called to Chattan Avenue in the Raigmore area of Inverness at about 8.15pm.
“Officers assisted the fire service at the scene. A 36-year-old woman was arrested at the scene for disorderly conduct.”
The firefighters dealt with the incident within an hour.
