Police have named the man killed in a one-vehicle crash at the weekend.
Andrew Griffin, 39, from the Kiltarlity area, was driving a white Volkswagen Polo, which was the only vehicle involved in the collision.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A833, near Kiltarlity, at around 10.35pm on Saturday.
The road was closed until 3.30am yesterday to allow for a collision investigation to be carried out at the scene.
Sergeant Chris Murray, of the road policing unit, said: “Our thoughts are with Mr Griffin’s family and friends at this time.
“Our inquiries are ongoing and I would appeal for any witnesses to the collision or who saw the vehicle travelling south from the Dingwall area prior to the collision who have not already spoken to officers to come forward.
“Please call police on 101, quoting reference NN22604, with any information.”
