A three-car collision closed the B9090 Cawdor to Piperhill road yesterday afternoon.
One car toppled over on to its side as a result of the crash, but no-one was seriously injured.
The incident happened just after 4.30pm and an onlooker said: “I could see three cars, a Corsa, a Zafira and a Peugeot 308.
“The Corsa was travelling towards Cawdor and the other two vehicles were going in the Piperhill direction.
“As a result of the collision, the Corsa left the road and toppled over on to its side. The Zafira was smashed a bit, but the Peugeot was able to be driven away afterwards.
“I couldn’t see anyone with any injuries, so I take it that no-one was seriously hurt.
“I believe the fire brigade weren’t required as I couldn’t see any appliances.”
A fire service spokesman said: “We received a call to attend a road traffic collision on the Cawdor to Piperhill Road at 4.39pm. Three cars were involved and we sent three appliances to the scene.
“But we received a ‘stop’ message at 4.58pm, so we weren’t required to attend.”
The police were contacted but did not have any information about the incident.
No-one was hurt after a collision between a bus and a car in a residential street in Inverness yesterday afternoon.
The accident happened in Midmills Road in the Kingsmills area of the city, just after 1.30 pm.
The bus is believed to be a service vehicle, but it is not known whether any passengers were on board at the time.
A police spokesman said: “We received a call at 1.37pm as there was a collision between a bus and a car in Midmills Road at the junction of Crown Circus and Ardconnel Terrace.
“We don’t know if it was a service bus or a coach, but the Kia car was blocking the road so it had to be closed until the recovery vehicle arrived and took it away.
“There were no injuries as a result of the collision.
“The road was reopened again around 3pm.”
