Picture: Andrew Smith Four people have been hurt in a two-vehicle crash on the A9 near Inverness. One person had to be cut free by the fire brigade after the smash, which happened on the northbound carriageway near Daviot at around 9.15pm. Three people were described as walking wounded, while the severity of the injuries of the fourth person are not known. A police spokesman said: “The northbound carriageway had to be closed. Four people were injured. The fire brigade was in attendance.” The carriageway is expected to stay shut late into the night. More to follow.
