Plans have been tabled for what could be a new Costa Coffee takeaway facility in Inverness.
Aberdeen UK Property Fund has submitted plans for the outlet at Inshes Retail Park on the site of the former Blockbuster video store, between McDonald’s and B&M Bargains.
The plans show that there will be a restaurant, outdoor seating and parking at the premises.
Consent for this type of operation has already been granted under a previous application for retail warehouses at the site.
The new plans have been submitted by Pritchett planing consultancy.
Their covering letter to Highland Council’s planners states: “The coffee drive-thru will be a complementary facility in the retail park which already has a number of non-retail facilities such as the Inshes Church, children’s nursery and the gym/fitness centre as well as the existing drive thru unit.”
Costa Coffee recently opened a similar premises in Fort William.
The Fort William store opens from 6am-10pm and customers can sit in from 7am-9pm.
A spokeswoman for Costa Coffee did not respond on the latest plans for Inverness.
