Three people have been to hospital after a crash at a notorious accident blackspot outside Inverness.
Emergency services were called to a junction on the B9006 road between Culloden Battlefield and Inshes shortly after 8pm.
The collision, between a grey Nissan Primera and a white Seat Ibiza, left the front bumpers of each badly damaged and caused airbags to deploy in both vehicles.
It is understood that one woman was rushed to Raigmore Hospital with a broken arm, while two other women were also taken away from the scene in an ambulance with undisclosed injuries.
Inverness South councillor, Duncan Macpherson, described the junction as a “horrific accident blackspot”.
