Both Kessock and Invergordon lifeboats were drafted into the search along the Moray Firth shoreline at 5pm yesterday. Launching their Atlantic 85 Class lifeboat, the Kessock team searched the shoreline from Whiteness Sands to Nairn in case the children had moved on. Shortly after RNLI Invergordon were dispatched to investigate the area around the fabrication yard. Following an appeal on social media by police it was established that the children were safe and well and search and rescue teams were stood down. Both Kessock and Invergordon lifeboat crews returned to their boathouses at 8.30pm.
