Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seen acting suspiciously in Inverness on Saturday evening.
The man was said to be acting strangely in the lane between Old School Place and Rosehaugh Road in Merkinch, between 6.30pm and 7pm.
The man is described as being white, aged in his late 40s or early 50s, about 6ft tall and of average build with grey hair and a local accent.
He was wearing a black bomber style jacket and blue jeans and may have had a cut to his hand.
Constable Craig McFarlane said: “From the detailed description provided we are hopeful that we can identify the man in order to establish his reasons for being in the area.”
