The Beast from the East yesterday caused problems for a former leader of the country.
Alex Salmond’s stage show Unleashed was due to come to Inverness at the weekend – but the weather put a stop to that.
The former First Minister has postponed his two Saturday shows to March 17 in light of conditions this week.
He was also due to play Dundee’s Caird Hall tonight, but that show has been put off until late Apil.
He said: “It is very disappointing because we had great audiences for each show and a really fantastic cast. However, we would have had to ignore the Scottish Government’s sensible travel advice to bring in the cast and crew and this we could not reasonably do.
“The problem is not really the weather in Dundee and even less so in Inverness itself but more that many of the audience and cast are travelling in from around the country. In these circumstances you have to put safety first.”
Those with tickets for any of tshe shows can either use them for the new dates or get a refund if they are not able to attend.
