A man has been airlifted to hospital in Shetland after becoming unwell at sea. The casualty was based on the Brent Alpha platform, 130 miles north-east of Sumburgh, when the alarm was raised. Shetland Coastguard received the call at 8pm on Wednesday and was flown by helicopter to Tingwall Airport. He was then transferred to a waiting ambulance and taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital. His condition is unknown.
