The emergency services were called to the scene near Torvean Golf Club at 9.16am. A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service there were believed to be no casualties. Large plumes of smoke were seen over the west of the city, while delays were expected on the main Inverness to Fort William road. Roads in the area are currently closed while crews deal with the fire. There was no passengers on board when the fire happened.
