The funeral of Inverness musician Liam Colgan whose body was recovered from a German river ten weeks after going missing on his brother’s stag do is to take place today.
The 29-year-old went missing in Hamburg in February while on the stag party he had organised for his brother Eamonn.
His body was recovered from the River Elbe in the city on April 23.
A service will be held today at 1pm in the Funeral Home of John Fraser and Son, Chapel Street, Inverness.
It will then proceed to Kilvean Cemetary.
Mr Colgan’s family have asked that people, instead of flowers, make donations to the Lucie Blackman Trust, a charity which helps families of those missing abroad and supported them through their ordeal.
The family of postman Liam from the Holm area of Inverness, said all are welcome to attend the service.
