Police are investigating after a series of thefts from properties across Inverness over the past few days.
Incidents have been reported in the Caulfield Road and Towerhill areas of Cradehall, while similar incidents have also been reported on Raigmore Avenue and Glenurquhart Road.
In total nine similar incidents have been reported to police on Sunday and Monday.
The items stolen have included bicycles and power tools.
Inspector Alex Chisholm said: “We are keeping an open mind, although we do believe these incidents to be linked.
“Our inquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information which could help us to get in touch.
“Anyone with private CCTV in these areas is asked to review it and if you see anything notable then pass this on to us.
“Similarly anyone who has seen any suspicious behaviour to let us know – it may be something that seemed inconsequential at the time but could be of assistance to our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police in Inverness on 101.
Inspector Chisholm added: “While some of these incidents have involved entry being gained forcibly, some of the stolen items have been taken from insecure outbuildings and vehicles.
“Please make sure that your property is securely locked.
“While nothing is completely foolproof it is worth taking steps to make sure that your property is as secure as it can be against thieves.”
