Inverness police are appealing for information after a car was stolen – and then recovered the following day.
The grey Citroen C8 car was removed from outside a house in the St John’s Avenue area of the city, some time between 9pm on Saturday evening and 6.45am on Sunday morning.
The car was subsequently recovered from the communal car park on Torvean Avenue later on Sunday.
It had suffered damage to the nearside wing mirror but was otherwise undamaged.
Sergeant Les Davidson said: “We are making enquiries into this theft and will be carrying out door-to-door inquiries in both St John’s Avenue and Torvean Avenue.
“I would ask anyone who believes they saw anything suspicious in either location overnight on Saturday or into Sunday morning to pass this on to us.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact police on 101.
