A girls football team has been given a bumper prize fund after triumphing in an online poll.
Inverness City Girls won new Macron strips, tracksuits, water bottles and footballs plus £500 as part of a competition run by Highland Audi.
The competition, called Teammates on Facebook, allowed anyone to nominate children’s sport teams for the prizes.
More than 60 teams were put forward and the company shortlisted their six favourites before opening it up to an online public vote to decide the winner.
Auldearn Primary’s football team, Crown Primary’s shinty team, the Forres Bluefins swimming club, Wick East End Football Club and Inverness City Lions Basketball Club were losing finalists and all received £250.
John Hawco, Highland Audi managing director, presented the new kit and it was worn for the first time at the weekend when the team played in the Highlands & Islands Ladies Tournament in Dingwall.
