One person was freed from a vehicle earlier today following a two-vehicle road traffic collision on an Inverness street.
The incident, involving a VW van and a Ford Fiesta, occurred shortly after 3pm on Carse Road with emergency services flocking to the scene.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 3.09pm from the Scottish Ambulance Service to assist at a two vehicle RTC on Carse Road in Inverness.
“A crew from Inverness attended the scene where it had been reported one person was trapped.
“The casualty was freed without the need of Scottish Fire and Rescue Service equipment so our crew made the vehicles safe before a stop message was received at 3.30pm.”
Slight disruption for motorists is to be expected with a police spokesman confirming: “There is an obstruction on one side of the road so one lane is currently blocked.
“Recovery of the vehicles has been arranged.”
