Inverness police are appealing for information after a power saw was stolen from a work van parked at a building site in the Slackbuie area of the city.
The incident occurred some time between 8am and 3.45pm on October 10.
The item stolen was a Husqvarna K760 Stihl Saw.
Reporting officer Constable Joanne Chisholm said: “We would ask anyone with information or who may have seen a saw such as this for sale to make contact as soon as possible.
“We would also take this opportunity to remind people to ensure their property is as secure against theft as possible, including making sure that vehicles and buildings are securely locked while unattended.
“Any information can be passed on by calling Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference NN10775/18.”
