Police in Inverness are appealing for witnesses after a house was broken into.
Officers said there had been a theft by housebreaking in the Kingsmills area of the city. Entry was gained to a house on Raasay Road sometime between October 15 and October 27.
A number of items were stolen, including items of jewellery.
Detective Constable Greig Fraser said: “Our inquiries are ongoing into this theft and would urge anyone who can help to get in touch as soon as possible.
“If you have seen any anyone in the area acting suspiciously please contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting crime reference number NN11239/18. If you wish to remain anonymous please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“I would also remind home owners to always secure windows and doors when leaving properties unattended to avoid becoming the victim of this type of crime.”
